Come join us for
The Ol' Country Barn's 27th Annual
Pumpkin Festival!
Sunday, October 13, 2013 10a-5p
Rain or shine!
Please come out and enjoy this fun family event!! There are hayrides, door prize drawings, music, food, and a pumpkin patch! And we are very excited to announce that this year we will be having the spinner that we had last year who will also be cooking over an open fire this year! In addition, we are also having a reenactment camp from the Fur Trade era (late 1700s-Civil War). There will be a full camp set-up with tomahawk throwing, cooking, and much more.
And, the 4th Annual Chinese Auction at the Festival this year is for Murphy Leake. Murphy is a one year old handsome little boy who was diagnosed with pulmonary vein stenosis (a very rare and often lethal congenital heart defect), pulmonary hypertension, chronic lung disease, ASD (minor congenital heart defect), bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, GERD with aspiration, and failure to thrive. As you can see this is one very sick little boy who has been in the hospital for most of his young life. He is currently recuperating at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, from a lung transplant that has had many complications.
Murphy is an exceptionally happy baby whose smile will melt your heart. He loves to be around people. People whistling and sticking out their tongues is one sure way to see his beautiful smile. He also loves his monkey and prunes! We are asking all family, friends, and businesses for donations to make this year’s Chinese Auction a success. Every dollar raised goes directly to Murphy, to help with every day expenses. Donations may be made in honor of someone, in memory of someone, or if you wish, you may remain anonymous. There will be a sign at the auction stand thanking those who donate. Please join us in making this year’s auction bigger and better than our previous year!
