This Weekend:: 25th Annual Pumpkin Festival

It's hard to believe that it's been 24 years of tradition, music, food, vendors, and fun here on the hill at the Pumpkin Festival, but it has... and this year we celebrate our 25th year! And we hope that you will be able to join us!

The Festival will be held on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday October 16, 2011 from 10am until 5pm and as always, rain or shine (though we certainly hope for shine!!).

We have a large variety of vendors setting up with an assortment of products, some great entertainment booked, yummy food, and of course, our free hayride that is always a great family experience! If you choose to go on the hayride, you or your children can choose a small pumpkin from our "pumpkin patch" for a small fee! The ride is always a beautiful one, as
the leaves are all changing, so be sure to bring your camera!

Also this year, we will be bringing back an oldie, but goodie! We're having a SCARECROW DECORATING CONTEST! We provide you with the scarecrow “frame” and you decorate it anyway that you see fit. There will be cash ($$$) prizes for the top three scarecrows. Scarecrows can be done by individuals, families, or groups of people. All scarecrows must be completed by October 15th so that they can be judged by our festival attendees. You may use any items you would like to decorate with. Register and/or get more information at the Ol' Country Barn or by calling (570)925-0301. Any and all decorative items can be picked up on anytime after 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2011 if you would like them back.

We hope that you will share this email with your friends and family and then make a day of it and come visit us and help us celebrate our 25th year of a great tradition!
